About Catholic Rheumatism Research Center
The Catholic Rheumatism Research Center was established in July 2002 as an affiliated institute of the Catholic University of Korea, following its designation as a Science Research Center (SRC) by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Korea Science Foundation. The Center conducts both basic and clinical research to investigate the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis and various autoimmune diseases, identify diagnostic and therapeutic candidates, and develop cell-based therapies. Its ultimate goal is to improve the quality of life and well-being of patients suffering from these conditions through the development of novel treatments.
The Center closely monitors recent research trends in rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases, engages in collaborative research with leading domestic and international scholars, and facilitates knowledge exchange and research dissemination to contribute to the academic advancement of rheumatology.
