The Catholic University Healthcare Research Institute for the Korean Peninsula was established in 2019 to enhance the health of residents in both South and North Korea and to conduct research on an integrated healthcare system in preparation for reunification. Its key activities include publishing semiannual newsletters and quarterly card-style news updates, hosting an annual symposium in collaboration with the South–North Korea Exchanges and Cooperation Support Association, supporting medical expenses for North Korean refugees, and engaging in various initiatives to improve healthcare across the Korean Peninsula.
