The Catholic Central Laboratory of Surgery was established to strengthen the research competitiveness of the Department of Surgery and to enhance the basic research capabilities of surgeons. By promoting surgeon-led basic research, the Institute seeks to lay the foundation for interdisciplinary medical science research. It is currently conducting fundamental studies to develop therapeutic strategies using advanced drug delivery systems for various types of cancer. Through these efforts, the Institute aspires to position itself as a leading research hub at the forefront of surgical science.
