About Advanced Institute for Radiation Fusion Medical Technology
The Advanced Institute for Radiation Fusion Medical Technology is a specialized research institute established to lead the development of next-generation radiation therapy devices and fusion medical technologies. Based on the clinical infrastructure of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, and through collaboration among expert clinicians, medical physicists, and engineering researchers, the institute strives to develop precise and efficient radiation therapy solutions.
The Institute conducts a wide range of research to advance radiation therapy, including the integration of treatment devices with imaging technologies, AI-based optimization of treatment planning, biomimetic phantom development, and analysis of ultra-high dose rate radiation effects. It plays a leading role in the field, both domestically and internationally.
Through active industry-academia-research collaboration with universities, industries, and research institutes worldwide, the Institute promotes the development of convergent radiation medical devices and technologies, and continues to work toward the realization of precision medicine and next-generation therapeutic technologies.
