The Department of Psychiatry at the Catholic University of Korea was established in 1960 and first set up the child psychiatry, suicide prevention center, and research institute for epilepsy in Korea.
Major medical and research fields are psychosomatic medicine, depression, psychiatric consultation adjustment, memory impairment and dementia, depression, elderly mental illness, anxiety disorders, stress disorders, depression, youth / home / workplace mental health, and degradation of attention in youth and children, female mental illness, schizophrenia, drug addiction, brain dysfunction, sleep disorders, and mental oncology.
