THE BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCE
Physiology is a basic medical science consisting of the study of the normal functions and mechanisms of the human body in functional point of view.
Physiology Department was established in September 1959.
Research on the biological mechanisms of compensation for various stress was conducted until the mid 1960s, the physiological regulatory mechanisms of the limbic system of the brain including the hippocampus until the late 1970s, and until the late 1990s, secretion and motility of the digestive mechanisms in the gastrointestinal tract had studied.
The diversified composition of the study was performed as an independent study by each professor in 2000s, and currently varied research in various field including electrophysiology, neurophysiology, muscle and molecular physiology, and endocrine physiology has been performed.
