Department of Life science was established after merged with Department of Humanities and Social Science, Department of Natural Science, Department of Medical Statistics, Molecular Genetics Laboratory, and Tissue Engineering Research Institute in May 2010, it was newly launched in September 2010 appointed with first head of department.

The department consists of six branch of the humanities and social sciences such as regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, translational molecular medicine, medical statistics, natural sciences.

To cope actively with rapidly changing medical development and role of the physician, we support the fusion of the course through unified operation between a multidisciplinary course.

It also play a role as a bridgehead to secure the new and integrated education as a base to lead the new changes in the university.
