Department of Laboratory Medicine was started in 1960 as a department of clinical pathology and separated to Department of Laboratory Medicine in March 2006.
Department of Laboratory Medicine is responsible for a number of tests to be performed at the hospital, and trying to improve its quality and plays an important role and accurate diagnosis is necessary for patient care as well as providing basis for determining the treatment outcome.
Department of Laboratory Medicine consists of detailed areas such as diagnostic blood tests, clinical microbiology, immunity diagnosis, clinical chemistry, blood bank, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and laboratory information, and wide range of disease diagnosis, etiology and detecting prognostic index, and leading new test development has been carried out.
