Integrative Research Support Center
The center, established according to the Promotion of Industrial Education and Industry-Academic Cooperation Act on April 1, 2004, aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the university and to assist the development of both the community and the nation by encouraging and facilitating cooperation between industry and academia.

The Catholic University has made a strong commitment to activating the research function over the last few years. Our efforts have been reflected in the establishment of the magnificent Catholic Research Institute of Medical Science on a site covering more than 188,000m2, a Science Building equipped with ultra-modern facilities on the Songsim campus, and the appointment of a new faculty dedicated exclusively to research.

The center is also working on the systemic management of the intellectual properties created by our faculty in order to protect the interests of our researchers and to support research academic activities. Furthermore, to facilitate the commercialization of novel techniques, we are directing all our efforts to establishing a network of organic collaboration between the university and industry for the efficient industrial utilization of the techniques developed by the university under a technique transfer system consisting of technique transfer, research incentive programs, and a technique circulation system among others.
