DEPARTMENT
The medical discipline of orthopedics is dedicated to the investigation, conservation and development of the shape and function of the limbs, the spine and their adnexa by non-surgical, surgical and physical means and it was established in November 1960.
The orthopedics include a wide variety of fields, and in the field of trauma, conservative and surgical treatment for fractures of the limbs, dislocation, ligament and muscle damage, surgery or artificial joint surgery for hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle joint, treatment and correction fields for various limbs disease, modifications and/or deformities, and divided into spine disorders such as disc, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures or anomalies.
In addition, the main research areas of the orthopedics are avascular necrosis and/or nonunion bone marrow transplantation, the study of intervertebral disc and articular cartilage of cell death, regeneration of articular cartilage, the orthopedic novel material development.
