DEPARTMENT
The department was established in 1957.
We have also created outcome in the classical morphological research as well as major scientific achievements in the medical/life science field of the 21st century.
The main research topics are including occurrence and progression-related biomarker development in liver cancer, stomach cancer, and colon cancer, new cancer-associated gene discovery using microarray, tumor-related gene function research in GKN1 signal mechanism, investigation of the biological molecular mechanisms of liver cancer, development of micro-dissection which is the core technology in genetic oncology, identification of mechanisms of apoptosis inhibition in solid tumors, investigation of t he mechanism of oncogenesis based on the epigenetics, and research in the a genetic abnormality in tumor stromal cells.
